“Re-VAMPed” A Solo Exhibition By Velvet La Vamp

  • Creative Eye Studio at The Upstairs Studios #201 1420 South Alamo Street San Antonio, TX, 78210 United States (map)

Did you know that March is Women’s History Month and Contemporary Art Month? Did you know that while I launched Creative Eye in 2020 - March’s First Friday will be ONE YEAR since I officially opened the doors to my Gallery & Studio to the public?

I hope you can make it out to the Opening Reception of my second solo exhibition, “Re-VAMPed” at Creative Eye in Studio 201 in The Upstairs Studios at Blue Star Arts Complex! Mark your calendars for First Friday, March 4th! Join me from 7pm-11pm that evening. Enchanting Energies will be setup and offering Tarot Readings for those interested & there will be complimentary wine (for those over 21) while it lasts.

About The Exhibition: "Re-VAMPed" - A solo exhibition by Multifaceted Artist / Owner & Curator of Creative Eye, Karina Garanzuay aka Velvet La Vamp. This exhibit will feature brand new work & re-worked pieces from the past that will be filled with dark & haunting imagery that (while it may seem to strike up sadness initially) still ignites the desire to move forward & to continue reinventing what hope may look like to you at any given time in your journey. Inspired by a relentless pursuit of pleasure even during trying times, of unapologetic self love even when others choose not to love you fully, of near death experience but getting another chance at life and of surviving deep trauma, but still having compassion within your heart for others regardless.

This month, I will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the exhibition to P.E.A.C.E. Initiative ("Putting an End to Abuse through Community Efforts"). This cause means a lot to me, as I myself am a survivor of domestic violence. As always - please remember to support local creators! Creative Eye is a One Woman, Queer & Latinx owned & operated business!
