Lake|Flato Open House with Ricky Armendariz and Patricia Ruiz-Healy

  • Lake|Flato 311 3rd Street San Antonio, TX, 78205 United States (map)

Please join Lake|Flato for a free ART|LF event featuring artist Ricky Armendariz and Ruiz-Healy Art gallery founder Patricia Ruiz-Healy.

As part of Lake|Flato’s recent office renovation, we are excited to launch ART|LF, a new program that serves as a cultural investment in our community and workplace. The program will feature a series of rotating art exhibitions at our new office and was created to illuminate and steward our regional design + art ecosystem. Please join us for Lake|Flato’s first ART|LF event featuring artist Ricky Armendariz and Ruiz-Healy Art gallery founder Patricia Ruiz-Healy.

The current exhibition throughout our office features work by artist Ricky Armendariz. Ricky Armendariz is currently a professor at the School of Art at The University of Texas at San Antonio and is represented by Ruiz Healy Art. He was an artist in residence at Kunstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin, Germany in 2013, and in Anderson Ranch in Snowmass Village, Colorado in 2018 and 2022. His work has been displayed in numerous exhibitions nationally and internationally and is part of permanent collections at the San Antonio Museum of Art, McNay Art Museum, Denver Art Museum, the Bush International Airport Houston Art Collection, The Cheech Marin Collection and The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture in Riverside, CA.

Founded in San Antonio, TX in 2006, Ruiz-Healy Art represents an international roster of artists and places emphasis on Latinx and Latin American artists and collaborations with Texas-based artists. Biculturalism and identity discourse plays an important role in several of the gallery’s artist collaborations and serves as a longstanding signature of the gallery program. In the spring of 2019, Ruiz-Healy Art opened a gallery space in the Upper East Side of New York City that works in tandem with the gallery in San Antonio as a platform to disseminate artist work.
