Cultural Threads: Weaving Identity
Friday, March 7, 2025, 6-8 PM
Cultural Threads interlaces history, identity, and tradition through works on paper, collage, fabric, textiles, and metals. This collection showcases artists who stitch personal and collective narratives, using materials that evoke memory, resilience, and belonging.
From intricate textile pieces that honor traditional weaving techniques to mixed-media collages layering personal histories, Cultural Threads celebrates the intersections of culture and creativity. Metalworks and paper-based compositions further explore themes of transformation and continuity, emphasizing how art serves as both a vessel for storytelling and a bridge for community connection.
By bringing together diverse artistic voices, Cultural Threads fosters a dialogue on heritage, migration, and shared experiences, creating a space where tradition and contemporary expression intertwine. This exhibition is not just about materials—it is about the people, stories, and cultural legacies that bind us together.
