Burder City Texas Featuring Daniel Armstrong & Alesia Garlock
The intent of this show is to express concern and raise awareness for the destruction of wildlife and habitat in Brackenridge Park. Because of climate change, rampant unchecked development and the city’s policy of harassing herons out of other parks, a larger than previous rookery has accumulated in Brackenridge Park, seeking refuge. Now they are being exterminated in large numbers by the USDA Wildlife Services. Sadly the number of birds disappearing seem to well exceed what these USDA permits allow. This is art and photography from the front lines of the City of San Antonio’s War on Birds.
