Artwork: Two different series will be on display. [Heroes] is a sketchbook dedicated to real, stories of the everyday heroism, spirit, community, and resilience of Ukrainians.

“We tend to lose focus on tragedy if it isn’t visible. Starting it, i knew that it was something that would have to continue, something that wouldn’t end after one or two pieces. It was a small way to help keep this tragedy visible.”

While some of the paintings and drawings are difficult to look at and some contain depictions of blood or a deceased human, the artist has chosen not to create graphic images of violence or injuries.

Windows and Broken Glass is a mixed media series with works focusing on the haunting images of of destroyed buildings and looking at life through broken glass.

[Heroes] will be published as a book and some will be available as prints. Profits from both will also go to charity.
