In conjunction with the exhibition Death Rights, presented by Apexart, on San Antonio's Second Saturday, community members will be invited to visit Death Rights' Pop-Up Arrangement Conference: a day of mixed creative engagement and direct community action. Arranged by death rights activist Maura Bobbitt, the event will bring together opportunities for death planning with free voluntary paralegals and notaries, a shroud-dyeing workshop with artist Casey Galloway, and a conversation about alternate funeral home experiences with Maura Bobbitt. Additionally, the tattoo artist for Evan Paul English's Gathering will be in residence, so visitors will be able to participate in that artwork by having their feet tattooed.
