A Message from Contemporary Art Month
In anticipation of continued turbulence both for the nation as well as the State of Texas, we at Contemporary Art Month (CAM) want to reaffirm our belief in the importance of art to a free and civil society. At the top of our mind is the role of art as a method of free expression and social criticism. We suspect that this function—found largely at the forefront of contemporary art—will be more important than ever. Should any agenda seek to curtail and restrict the contributions of art to a civil society, CAM will stand rooted in its mission to advocate, support, and build coalitions with San Antonio artists and beyond.

CAM Calendar 2025
Contemporary Art Month, San Antonio (CAM) calendar is now open for submissions for March 2025. The CAM calendar is open to all San Antonio area artists, curators, directors, club owners, producers, events managers, and arts organizations to announce and promote events, shows, and exhibitions that promote Contemporary Art in San Antonio taking place during the month of March 2025.
CAM continues to waive the fee for 2025 calendar submission. We want to support our community, and provide moments of connectivity in a safe and productive manner. CAM has waived its fees but we always welcome donations and contributions. Calendar submissions will remain open throughout the month of March.

CAM x Mercury Project Artist Residency
San Antonio, Texas, February 17, 2025 Contemporary Art Month (CAM) in partnership with Mercury Project are pleased to announce a new residency for emerging artists in San Antonio. The CAM x Mercury Project Residency will offer one local artist time and space to create alongside other local artists and receive mentorship from established creatives in our community.
Contemporary Art in San Antonio
Every year during the month of March, Contemporary Art Month (CAM), San Antonio offers the platform for artists, performers and curators to show the best our community has to offer at galleries, museums, performing arts spaces, schools, artist studios and various unconventional locations around the city. Contemporary Art Month is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports, organizes, and promotes these events city-wide.
